How do you know you had a fun dinner party?
When I woke up this morning, there were fortune cookie slips littered all over the dining room table. There were abandoned, half empty wine glasses around the room. There were crumbs on the floor, soy sauce packets everywhere, empty Chinese food boxes beside the couch and sweet and sour sauce gobs on the table. Oh, and there were dog prints on the floors, dog hair tumbleweeds rolling to the walls, and wet towels by the front door.
When you survey the mess, remembering the story behind each flung soy sauce packet, every wet towel and fortune cookie, and smile to yourself, that's when you know you had a great time.
