With the scorching hot temperatures we’ve been getting, our pool temp is up to 90 degrees. Can you believe? It’s like bath water. Yuck.
Abby has completed swim lessons. They were awesome for her. She is so much more confident in the pool now. She keeps her head underwater, can swim pretty darn fast, and no longer has a problem with getting water in her eyes. She is amazing and daring. We’re so proud of her.
We also got a new refrigerator to help beat the heat. This is our first one with a built in water dispenser and ice maker.
Yay! Honestly, I don’t know how we lived without an ice maker. We had ice cube trays that we froze and stored the ice in a bucket. Gawd. I’m so happy to say good bye to that and hello to the automatic ice machine! Woohoo!
(It’s the simple things in life, eh?)
Once again, we debated on whether or not to get firecrackers this year. Once again, we caved and got some. Oy. Abby had a good time, so I guess it was all worth it.
And of course there was cake! Happy Birthday America!
