Lee's nephew, Nate, had a belated birthday bash at a local park. Much of Lee's extended family was there -- including one behemoth dog named Bo. You know those old Marmaduke cartoons? Well Marmaduke is a chihuahua compared to this dog! Did Abby have a problem when this dog roared his bark or when she came face to knee with him? Nope. Abby couldn't get enough of Bo. "Where's Bo?" "What's Bo doing now?" "Bo is drooling." On and on. Now here's a ton of Lee's family who haven't seen Abby since she was a baby, and do they get any interaction from her? Nope. Just the dog.
After eating some of Tio Andy's excellent BBQ ribs -mmmm, ribs-- and then playing at the park for a while, Abby finally started warming up to everyone else. When cousin Nate helped her pick dandelion puffs and blow them all at once, he quickly became her favorite person at the park.
Not long after that though Tia Rachel was showing Abby how to hit a ball with a bat. She didn't even seem to mind when Rachel put her arms around her to help her hold the bat.
And not long after that Tio Andy was showing her how to really swing a bat.
What a great day.
