Chic Trees

What happened to the Christmas tree that looked like a Christmas tree?!? What happened to delicate glass ornaments, popcorn strings, and construction paper chains? What happened to colored yarn, hand crafted ornaments, and candy canes? What happened to tinsel, a simple star topper, and trees that actually smelt like pine?

You've seen them, right? Upside down trees. Trees on a spinning platform. Trees in fuchsia and yellow. LED lights, plastic-wrap "pine needles," and cell phone ornaments. Bah! Humbug!

I've decided to make a photo journal about the most outrageous Christmas trees I see this holiday season. It's a mission really. A mission to eradicate all "chic" Christmas decorations by ridiculing them publicly.

A most worthy quest, to be sure.

Take a look at this beauty. A giant tree decorated with fake Birds-of-Paradise and Anthurium. Yuck! It looks like Santa got drunk at the beach and threw up all over this poor guy.
