These are all the reasons why I love Christmas cards.
They are a gift. They're the epitome of a gift. Small, thoughtful, meaningful, beautiful.
Lee thinks that Christmas cards, and cards in general, are useless. They have no utilitarian value. That's true, but that makes them even better gifts. It's the thoughtfulness behind the sentiment. They say things like, "I was thinking of you today," "Hi!" and "I miss you." They make the intangible tangible.
Like holding a wish on your fingertips.
Like receiving an envelope of good luck.
Like being delivered a hug.
Who could ask for more?
