Rainy Day Weirdness

It's been raining a lot here. Five years ago, I would have loved curling up on the couch with a good book and whiling away a rainy day reading. When you're trapped inside with a three year old, and with no car to get anywhere, the monotonous dreary weather really starts to get on your nerves.

Here's some of the things we've done to stay busy:

Of course, we took a walk in the rain.



Then there's the ever present art project to work on.



Then we break down into just plain sillyness.



Abby's engineering flair expresses itself with the invention of a cow straw cover - something every straw user should have!



Abby's creativity gets to me and I decide to paint a hopscotch pattern on the dining room floor.



I ran out of room for the 10th square, but Abby loved it.



I figure, "what the hay?" My floors can't get much dirtier!
